Sharnee began performing at a very young age. Growing up in Rockhampton she participated in local theatre, Eisteddfods and being a member of the Rockhampton Musical Union Youth Choir.
From this she has appeared in numerous productions including RVE’S Kim in Miss Saigon (Directed by Karen Crone, 2010), The Mistress in Evita, and Nessarose in Wicked (Directed Wayne and Katie Scott-Kermond, 2015-2016) and most recently Lauren in Kinky Boots.
In 2012 Sharnee moved to Sydney to study a Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the Australia Institute of Music. During her time there she was taught by her mentors Beth Daly (vocals) and Tyran Parke (acting) and she became passionate about performing and teaching.
Whilst in Sydney she appeared in shows such as RENT (Directed by Tyran Parke, AIM 2013), Spring Awakening, and Godspell.
In 2013 Sharnee was delighted to perform alongside Matthew Lee Robinson in a cabaret of his work.
In 2015 Sharnee moved to New York where she began dance and acting training at the Broadway Dance Centre. She majored in Musical Theatre and was mentored under teachers who were currently performing on Broadway.
In 2019 Sharnee joined the team at Bel Canto Singing & Music Academy.
Sharnee loves to keep learning about different ways to teach her students and is thrilled to see them achieve their own personal goals.
